03. The ceremony
The Polo Room.
Whit, knowing how every NY trip ends with us disposing of two tonnes of packaging from Ralph Lauren in order to persuade UK customs that, no, we did actually buy all this gear in the UK, said ‘Only you two would get married in The Polo Room.’
People arrived slowly at first (I’m told), then in an increasing tide that filled the room to overflowing. It was standing room only, and we waited outside for the ceremony to begin. You can read all about that here…
The time in that room was filled with laughter, tears (of true happiness), inadequate tissues that were never intended for two grown men, and a whole universe of love. It flew by, but it will remain with us forever. You can read the words we wrote for the service here.
And you can read all about the music we used in the ceremony - from “Lights? Cameras?” to “…Remain” here.
As usual, click on the little piccies for bigger piccies. But be prepared for tears, dazzling smiles, sweat (hey, it was a hot day!), and enough love to melt your pentiums. You have been warned
