04. Garden Cocktails
Official Duties completed, the party, as they say, retired to the gardens of the hotel, where Pimms, Champagne Cocktails, cute waiters, soft drinks, tea, coffee, canapes and an epic photoshoot awaited.
Our friends, families, and loved ones relaxed in the glorious sunshine - it looked like England, warmed like Cannes, and felt, to us, like paradise.
Everyone, as the EmCee in Cabaret once said, was beyoddeeefull! Everything was, as one of us said on the day, more perfect than we could ever have dared hope for.
Midway through, we were asked by the photographers to pose for a ‘cutting of the cake’ picture (they’d be gone before the real ‘cutting), and we duly obliged.
Chaos - of a wonderfully jolly nature - ensued, as every single guest tried to compete with the official photographers for shots of the fake event.
And then, finally, it was time to sit down to the wedding breakfast.
Remember: Pointee. Clickee. Bigee. It’s that simple, folks…
