Bad stuff happens.

All the time, it happens to people who don’t deserve to have bad stuff happen to them; who’ve done and said nothing wrong, yet who are still suffering. But, as much as it may pain you, you simply have to accept the fact that, sometimes, there’s nothing you can do.

The holiday - an all-gay cruise to The Baltic, Scandinavia and Russia - was an absolute B L A S T!

Both D and I were a little wary - we’re not really ‘all-gay, all-the-time’ types. Apart from the ability to tell purple from mauve, a cute builder/fireman/copper from a bloater in a uniform, and the bumsex being in love with each other. But we were invited along by our uncle Bob, so we thought ‘why not?’

Bergen, Copenhagen, Gdansk, Tallin, St Petersburg, Helsinki and Stockholm. All (with one or two minor exceptions) fabulous.

But even better than the cities? The folks we met on board. A diverse, and, in many cases, truly wonderful bunch, who made me realise how much I like what and who I am. Maybe I am AGATT. Though I’d still summon up a nice wad of homophobia for certain people who should know better.

We had fun. A lot of fun. And now, it’s back in Blighty with several hundred hours of Scandi Pop to upload to the pod, and I’ll post the highlights this week, as well as the photos this weekend.

In the meantime, my job hunt is ongoing. Several more leads this week, and possibly an offer to come. Don’t know what I’m talking about? I’ll fill you in soon. Promise.

And tonight, I’m at Orlando’s Big Opening. No, not Tony Orlando. The other one. the one who makes a cute (if slightly unbelieveable) Pirate. Though who, one suspects,  would have troube working out the difference between purple and mauve.
