one week to go

Well, here we are. And how’ve you all been? I know, I know: My posting since the start of January has, quite largely, been rather lame. Gone are the tales of fabulous theatrical outings or intimate details of the life of a glamorous moxy in the stockbroker (and trolley-dolly) belt.

Instead, since Christmas, you’ve had a few song lyrics, a couple of (actually not too bad) Friday Fictions, a handful of dull postings about EBaying, and a shedload of rants about the Religious Mafia and the whole “We don’t hate gays, we just hate gayness. Or something” Riff I’ve been running the past couple of posts.

So why? How come this happy little blog suddenly went a bit flat? Well (and believe me I know how startling this announcement is going to be to some of you) We’ve been happily married, and Happily Married hasn’t made for great blogging, I’m afraid.

Mainly because we’ve also been gymming five nights a week (only for 30 - 45 mins at a time, so don’t cringe too much), Life  Clubbing (which is a great way to just focus on what’s important to you; which recently hasn’t been blogging), and  preparing for the Honeymoon which kicks off in a week.

That’s right, folks. Next Monday D and I board a big shiny Airplane and jet off to Auckland NZ. There then follows twelve days on a Cruise, and a few days in Sydney to attend the world famous International Sheep Shearing and StingRay Stomping Conference Gay Mardi Gras. I know! We feel like A Gays. Except we’re flying economy (coach for the N Americans). I don’t think you get Elton and Mypartnerdavidfurnish flying Coach. Can you imagine it?

Anyways, will try to improve the blogging. Perhaps a domestic, a small divorce or a bout of extramarital afairs would spice things up.

D is at a job interview right now, and tonight is his first official Birthday party. The real date is the 15th,by which time we’ll be in NZ, so , like the other English Queen, he’s starting early with a drink for those who won’t be with us on the day (ie almost everyone).

Drinking on a Monday? Are we mad? Ah, the blog’s about to get interesting again, methinks.
