He's amazing, used to cycle by me when I was running along the Hudson River (L&#038;O SVU films in the studios at Chelsea Piers).  Very straight, but very gay friendly.  Unfortunately, hates the Irish.  Sorry.

Oz was genius, especially the first few seasons.  It was the most disturbing and yet compelling telly I'd ever seen.  The storyline (and character arcs) for him and Tobias Beecher (Lee Tergesen, who I used to see at Fire Island morning parties ... I'm not sayin', I'm just saying') was compelling, twisted and just a little darkly omantic. 

And then there was the scene where Keller (Meloni)  gets blown by an inmate, comes, and then breaks the inmate's neck.  It was like, "Ewww, that's sick.  Rewind it and let's watch it again."</description>
