mmmmm murder

There are few certainties in life. Death, and taxes, Mark Twain once suggested. Will & Grace, Lithuania’s Next Top Model, Charmed or Spooky Haunted House - Dead Pets of the Famous special weekend on Living TV guaranteed, I once noted.

Here’s another one: American Cop Shows very well plotted, and filled with eye Candy.

My parents looove a nice crime show. And last night, having watched “Law & Order - Criminal Intent”, “L&O - Special Victims Unit” and a Canadian show called “Blue Murder”, I think I may be obtaining sky+ to record some of my new favourite shows.

The Canadians first: Who could resist this:

Which one? Isn’t it obvious? I trawled the web for a decent pic of my next mistress. Joel S. Keller. Him in the middle, hands in pocket, head tilted back at a jaunty angle. A strawberry blonde canuck with the deepest chocolate brown eyes you have ever seen, and a pair of lips that just need to be bitten. A little fleshy - which is how I like my mistresses, and (after an exhaustive googling) a mystery man. Very little known, but what I sees, i likes.

Of course, he’s just a mistress, and can be dropped when my husband is calling. So now, ladeeeez und gennnlemennn, let me intoduce my next husband: Special Vic’s Chris Meloni.

No “I saw him first”. I’m sure you did. My life is a never ending source of surprise to me. There’s a seemingly endless list of TV shows, Movies, Records, Books, Stage shows that I haven’t seen, despite having had them recommended to me, and, often, despite actually saying “I really want to see/hear/read that”. What exactly I do do with my life (besides whine, whinge, kvetch and type pointless blog entries) is a mystery, even, to me.

But can someone please, for the love of Maude, tell me how I missed this:

“Oz”. I remember it being on. I recall thingking “Ooh, I’d like to watch that.” I have no idea why I didn’t. I now need to see it urgently. How on earth can I expect to keep my man If I’m unfamiliar with his oeuvre (and judging by those screen catches, what an oeuvre!)? Anyone got any dvd’s I can borrow? (of Oz, ya filthy reprobates; although anything else where the future Mr Farrell gets nakkid will do too).

I totally saw him first and Matthew has stalked him at opening night parties.

He’s amazing, used to cycle by me when I was running along the Hudson River (L&O SVU films in the studios at Chelsea Piers). Very straight, but very gay friendly. Unfortunately, hates the Irish. Sorry.

Oz was genius, especially the first few seasons. It was the most disturbing and yet compelling telly I’d ever seen. The storyline (and character arcs) for him and Tobias Beecher (Lee Tergesen, who I used to see at Fire Island morning parties … I’m not sayin’, I’m just saying’) was compelling, twisted and just a little darkly omantic.

And then there was the scene where Keller (Meloni) gets blown by an inmate, comes, and then breaks the inmate’s neck. It was like, “Ewww, that’s sick. Rewind it and let’s watch it again.”
