On the subject of Trolley Dollies…

Sassy flight attendant: In the event of a loss of cabin pressure, oxygen masks will be released from the overhead above your seat. After the screaming subsides, please place the oxygen mask around your nose and mouth. If you are traveling with a child or an adult who is acting like a child, place your mask on first before attempting to help put theirs on.

Flight attendant: …and for those of you who wish to smoke, quit! And if you want to smoke inside, you came to the wrong state.

It’s my mother’s birthday today.

She probably won’t read this, but we love you mam.

There’s a lifetime of stories to be told, and they will be. But for now, Many, many Happy returns.

In my black tights just throwing shade
Doing this dance that some queen made
I remember the first time I saw it,
Told my brother to put me up on it,
It wasn’t easy no 1, 2, 3
Took a long time to learn to feel free
But here I am Vogueing pretty
In some club deep in this city
Deep in Vogue, Deep in Vogue

In a world where everyone feels they need a ‘purpose’, maybe what we really need are more fierce queens with no purpose other than to be fabulous and fun and let little white boys know that saying yes I am is nowhere near as scary or difficult as some people’s lives are.

And yes, I know I appear more cut up about the death of a micro celeb I never met than of that gator wrasslin’ Aussie yesterday, but you can’t feel what you can’t feel. And Steve Irwin never opened my eyes to a world I couldn’t wait to run to.

Willie, wherever you are, keep on throwin’ shade. You go, girl!
